A Coroner's Report on Humanity

Less than 10% of all mosquitoes feed on humans, but our first instinct is still revulsion when we see one.

My name is Clementine Cox, and I am an aspiring writer with a special interest in speculative fiction, horror, and philosophy. I have always been drawn to the strange and inhuman, and grew up having strong opinions about the ways that monsters were presented in media. Reflective, character-driven writing is my bread and butter, and I don't shy away from dark topics or graphic descriptions when they suit the needs of the story I'm trying to tell.

I have provided some examples of my shortform writing for free on this site, and I intend to update it with even more in the future. I hope that these samples can showcase my style and priorities in my work, particularly my affinity for scenes with heavy introspection and little dialogue. My work tends to centralize queer-focused narratives, existential musings on the nature of reality and consciousness, and a light at the end of the tunnel for those who are able to brave the darkness.

I am currently working on my first full-length novel that I hope to publish sometime in 2026.

Moody Scottish castles are my kind of place.
